How do I fix the tape player in my car?

Ok, so my tape player in my car worked, but now it doesn’t. I can hear a song very very quietly, but no matter how high I turn the volume it doesn’t get any louder. How can I repair this? If I can’t where should I go and about how much do you think it might cost? Thanks!
